Nope. "National ID" represents a grave risk to free citizens and is a hallmark for totalist regimes. The ideal state is one where a fellow is safe to presume the citizenship status of another and and in a clear conscience afford another the benefit to enjoy their rights. We're not there yet, because our country is being invaded, pillaged and eroded from top to bottom.
All that said, national ID would only fix things for a dictatorship.
I’m against that for the same reason. And it makes it easy for systematic confiscation. Easy to make lists so brown shirts can run from door to door with a shopping cart.
My question to you: Why do you feel that you need a “permit” to exercise something you believe to be a “right”?

Well what about a national level concelled cary liscense.. make it tough to get but it should basicaly be a way to carry nation wide.
