Well, I didn't go in depth, but "race and pride" stood out as one that probably triggered some snowflakes.

edit: 9/11 was an inside job and I voted for Donald Trump probably made them call you a nazi to their coworkers as well.

edit2: Who is John Galt is bound to give a legbeard quivering hysterics. "Oh my God he reads AYN RNAD!!1!!!!!!!11!:"

Edit conclusion: The don't even have to read what you wrote, and probably didn't. The titles alone are enough to make your average libshit call the hate speech police.

I sent Modern Women to my friend to read. I think it's more offensive if you just read the first half. He had a great point that if you're offended, you probably won't read all of it.

I agree, maybe the titles alone were enough.

Modern Women was the first one I read. Not even half way in I figured that right there would cause a good amount of reeeeing from the left. If you want to be a speaker in schools, you can't be public with this stuff. You'll have to find a way to subliminally put it in your talks. At least for now while the schools continue to cater to this liberal bullshit.

Do you think these nonsense opinions people hold are easily come by? No, just like muscles you have to train them. Their training regimen therefore must strictly avoid considering alternative viewpoints.

Modern Women was one that caught my eye, speaking of females in a way that implies they're less than. There's a lot of here that's going to be 'questionable', but by title alone 'I voted for Trump' is gonna trigger certain people. Diversity of thought is not welcome. I'm sorry that happened to you. :/

Yep that all sounds pretty offensive. I didn't even click on the link, I think OP is just trying to get traffic on his shitty blog

Yes, they just read the titles of entries and reported you

Saw the Ayn Rand quote and laughed. Thought the same thing as you after my cursory glance.

I should make fake blogs for every speaker I can find. Just saturate the world with fake blogs tied to real names.

The content for offensive-sound entries could be that AI ad spam where it sort of sounds like it's talking about gender, but make no fucking sense if you actually read a few sentences.

Oh, well, damn. I never caught that line. Ha-ha. I guess they had a reason. I mean, the guy fully admitted to being racist, sexist, and anti-Semitic.

The only valid point in this whole PC faggot insanity was made by a Greek faggot from 3000 fucking year ago.

If these libtards were so offended, why not have you there to challenge your ideas in public and hold you to account for them? Oh, right that requires courage and intellect.

I used to struggle with this as well, but I've gotten to a point where I'm just totally honest.

Yes I believe taxation is theft and that the government is wholly illegitimate.

Yes, I'm relieved that Trump won instead of Hillary

Kinda surprised it hasn't caused me more problems. My employers are well aware of my political leanings and even this username. As a whole the people I work with are much more left leaning, but not in the rabid SJW sense.

As for the specific articles that likely pissed people off, these would be my guesses (going off title and skimming alone)

Linking yourself to voat is a bad idea around these types. They can't handle words.

He has balls and respect for himself unlike 99% of Voaters who would lose their job and family if outed.

Heh, thank you. I m hoping I can live my life without fear of speaking my mind. I can see how many people in many shoes can get in a lot of trouble and not risk their own welfare but their ability to provide for their families.

Fortunately, my income is somewhat well diversified and not even likely that any one source will see what I'm doing and stop doing business with me as a result.

OP title:

My talk today was canceled...

I'm not sure what you are saying. Respect for yourself includes protecting yourself. Again, "Linking yourself to voat is a bad idea around these types. They can't handle words." is a factual statement provable in more than just this case.

My go-to example.

You can try to say you are here for any reason at all and it won't matter. Just "the link", like just "the accusation", is enough to bring financial harm to yourself. Voat is word rape now, don't you know.

I could certainly see how people could call it offensive. But someone's personal opinions shouldn't be relevant to a tech talk

The organizer said that some of the students and herself would be uncomfortable meeting me. Also said that the students would be unable to not bring up some of the topics they felt offended by.

But I agree, it's a very distinct topic.

There's your answer.

[–] Thrus2 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Yeah because students research the speaker and read the old blog posts before a lecture, half the time you would be lucky if they know your name before you start. And you couldn't shut down ever one of those people that bring it up with one simple unoffensive phrase "I'm sorry that is outside of the topic of this lecture"

Even though they often say, that blacks are just doing shitty on IQ tests, because of the environment, they don't like to hear about there being a difference in IQ in the first place. Because deep down, even they know that it's genetic and it goes against their egalitarian worldview.
