There's a weird phenomenon that's been observed many times, where an adopted child seeks out their biological parents in adulthood and it results in an incestuous sexual relationship. You may have seen this tragic story recently. They say these things happen because of the overpowering sense of genetic similarity, where human beings are naturally attracted to people who are genetically similar to themselves, in the absence of the natural parent-child bond.
If that's true, then it seems to me that the reason Jews like Freud believed in the Oedipus Complex is because they secretly harbor these desires themselves due to an increased genetic similarity to their parents from all the inbreeding going on in Jewish communities. Jews are among the most inbred populations on Earth, with almost every other Jew being closely related to any other. Hypothetically, this means that even when Jewish parents raise their own children and the natural parent-child bond is present, they are exponentially more likely to experience a genetic similarity attraction than a group with a deeper gene pool.
The Jewish publication Moment did a study on 15 Jewish celebrities. Steve Sailer writes:
They got 15 Jewish-American celebrities (Ruth Behar, Joshua Bell, Mayim Bialik, David Brooks, Linda Chavez, Alan Derhowitz, Stephen Dubner, Nadine Epstein, Tovah Feldshuh, A.J. Jacobs, Steven Pinker, Robert Siegel, Thaddeus Tobe, Laurel Touby, and Esther Wojcicki) to take a 23andMe DNA test. This is the company founded by Esther’s daughter Anne Wojcicki, who is the sister of Youtube CEO and James Damore-firer Susan Wojcicki
Wojcicki has eleven cousins in the group and says she is distantly related to son-in-law, Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
For the most part, we found zero degrees of separation. This means that most of the individuals we tested were directly related to one another. This finding far exceeds the three degrees of separation found among most Americans.
This would also explain the unnaturally high amount of nepotism amongst Jews. They really do feel like other Jews are part of their family, because in many cases they really are that closely related.
TL,DR: When parents and their children are separated at birth, and then reunited as adults, it sometimes leads to incestuous relationships due to strong sexual attraction from genetic similarity. Jews are among the most inbred (genetically similar) people on Earth, which would explain why many Jews like Freud could believe in the Oedipus Complex, a theory which doesn't make sense to the average non-Jew.
