Thrift is a fundamental necessity in helping people rise out of poverty, but that great economic thinker Oscar Wilde wouldn’t know anything about that. His experience with poverty was limited to sodomizing working class teenage boys.

I'm thoroughly convinced poverty in first world nations is a state of mind. These people simply fucking suck with money and would rather burn it than have it invested or even sit in a checking account. Just take a look at what happens when poor people win the lottery, they're back in the trailer park a few years later.
