Talk to a lawyer FIRST. Before you talk to HR. HR isn't there to help you dude.

The only reason HR will EVER take you seriously is if they think you can easily get a lawyer and sue.

If you talk to a lawyer and they say they can't help you. Just grit your teeth and steal from your employer.

This, minus the stealing. HR, like "Internal Investigations" for Police officers, only exist to protect the company itself from litigation. The correct way to go about this is to bypass HR and go straight to a lawyer.

Get recordings, especially if your state allows single-party recordings.

If you tell OP to sue the company that employees him, it's important to also tell him to make sure he gets enough money to live off of the rest of his life. That lawsuit will follow him to any other job he applies to and not in a good way.

OP MAKE SURE YOU GET ENOUGH MONEY TO LIVE OFF OF BEFORE YOU COMMIT.

Getting blacklisted by companies who wouldn't support what he's trying to do might be a good thing if it helps him find one that does.
