It is my understanding that putting God before all other humans is a path to not respecting human authority.

King of kings means that everyone is under God's law. That's the real jurisdiction.

Jesus is often quoted saying to render unto Caesar what is his. And many will say this means God respects Caesar. But, actually, Jesus is placing a lower value on the money.

Basically, the American version would be handing Jesus a $100 bill that says "Federal Reserve Note" and He says, "The Fed can have their notes, your job is to focus on God's treasures."

Yea, I guess that seems true enough. I don't know much about it, historically.

Overall, I tend to trust Christians more than Atheists, Jews or Muslims, and as a secular guy, that is somewhat an endorsement. What is really messing up people's brains is the educational system and the national media. Pure poison, both of them. Perhaps I just do not ever trust "authority" and the Christians are least likely to demand anything from me.
