2013 Trump would be very angry with 2018 Trump.

2013 Trump could beat 2018 Trump in a fight.

Honestly give us all 5 years and we'll do something we'd happily rail against back then.

I was all for building nukes five years ago.

And am building another one today.

Some things don't change.

Pre-2016 Trump would be scared of his comments of Obama, if he knew just how true it all was.

It’s the jews, dipshit. Your name speaks to your complete brainwashing.

It's hilarious how the military-industrial complex reaps literally all the benefits of US wars and all of the US aid to Israel, yet the jews get blamed for it.

Lots of triggered people here. This is why the "god emperor" bullshit was such a bad thing. It clouds your judgement in situations like this

It clouds your judgement before situations like this, hense how we have situations like this now. Rand Paul was the correct option.

You would not have funding for Isreal. You would not have bombing of Syria. You would not have arming of rebels strategically aligned with ISIS. You would not have a proxy war with Iran in Yemen with similar tomahawk bombings that got way less coverage.

I agree. But he is a moderate. In our hyper-polarized political climate, moderates get shit on by both sides. Both sides share authoritarianism

well, you think that. if that had been the case in realty, he would just have been JFK'd a month into his term and someone who could at least look like he is playing ball for (((them))) would take his place.

Gotta wait to see how it plays out. The Syria thing is a tough issue because America needs to look strong, so doing nothing can have a negative impact on the world around us.

One thing I feel people fail to acknowledge is that this strike was a joint strike with other nations. This wasn't an attack that was done by out military alone but with the support of other countries.

Time will tell of the consequences but I do think that there is this sad sense of "greater good" because without showing force it's possible that if a "deep state" entity did do this gassing, they would just continue gassing til Trump finally bent to their will.

This is what partisan idiots don't understand about government.. If you want freedom for yourself, you must tolerate for others. If you want tyranny for yourself, or "your group", you must understand that the power will be wielded by someone else you may not approve of at some point.

It's not the abuse of power that is the problem, but the power to abuse.

Blatant "betrayals" should pretty much make it obvious that he's signaling to the base that it has to physically live and work in DC to ever change anything. Swamp draining just doesn't work when no one is around to fill in the vacuum. Kicking back and voting light pink ocean representatives into the deep blue islands isn't working.

Actually, forget the voting. It exists to fool the right, which always plays by the rules, even when they're stupid rules. Political power is won in the streets, not the subdivisions.

This probably only proves that the hands of a president are tied in more ways than we know.
