Ha ha! That’s an old one... in the 70s the rumor was that a city in Japan was named “Usa”. All imported products have to have a COO designation (country of origin) legally, though, so if it says USA, it’s probably made here.

As a u.s. territory clothing makers could label stuff "made in the u.s.a."
