Not brand safe. Their customers are advertisers. Discussion happens at the pleasure of the brands. All content must resemble infantile, insulting, innuendo-laden commercials.

The brands don't care. There are advertisers who would fight for access to those communities. This is strictly political at the cost of profitability and human rights education.

Advertisers profit from brands. But they can be weaponized, of course. Their purpose can be perverted, obviously has been, because of their uniquely influential position. Fiction has predicted this for a long time. But they still get their utility and base funding from advertising brands in working for their clients. If these brands weren't complicit, they could cut that off and retreat from it. They haven't.
