There are thousands of things that our government does that affect us negatively, DST is really really low on that list.

Unfair taxation

Subversion of civil rights

Corruption

Systematic oppression committed by law enforcement

A policy of intervention and war to suit the needs of a few

A bloated federal and state(s) government

Yeah because workplaces wouldn't just shift your work hours an hour ahead or behind to steal your daylight.

Then why not stay on it all the time?

Well this one is low hanging fruit. Maybe let's rebel against it and make them change it like we made them change about pot. Let's get this ball rolling and start changing lots of shit.

One of the hundreds of programming aspects of our lives to keep sheep docile and in control.

Dude come on.

It was implemented so people could start and end their days in a better match with the sun. It was kept around because changing it would be hard.

Not everything is about (((the boogeyman))) trying to make your life shitty.

Because it's fun!

And to remind us that in the 1920's, the majority of the U.S. were farmers with good sense and a head on their shoulders. It was far more fun for them to wake up at 5 am and the sun was still coming up.

City folk should just operate by GMT and be done with their regard for day/night cycles in their modern debt slavery "lives".

It was done because of the war. Farmers can set their own schedule and don't need to be told when to get up.

Farming has nothing to do with it. You're up with the sun no matter the hour.

Get up before noon sometime and you'll see.

That doesn’t even make sense. Who cares what time it is? That doesn’t even matter

How does DLS have this big an impact on your life at all? It's one hour, pussy.

I woke up this morning feeling exactly like every other morning, my girlfriend was a completely different story. Shes still complaining that she didn't get enough sleep and spring forward is hard and it ruins her life.

what the fuck?

Im pretty sure it's completely mental. So get over it.

It's not completely mental. You can look at the rate of accidents this week and the week after you gain an extra hour of sleep in the fall. They rise and fall significantly.

I’m sorry, but if you are so weak that losing an hour of sleep makes you wreck your car the next maybe you deserved it.

Some people have to go to bed at the same time every night or it really fucks with their circadian rhythms. Be thankful you have a higher tolerance for variations in your sleep cycle.

to those people Id say stop being a little bitch. An hour once a year should not fuck you up for an entire day.

I have no idea where anyone could construe that it was an inconvenience due to sleep. This is not the case for me. I thought of this to post because I had just gotten done with changing the clock in 2 vehicles, the oven, the microwave (which we never use) and 3 wall clocks that we have in the house.

My oven doesn’t have a clock, my car automatically changes, I don’t have an analog clock in my house and who gives shit about the microwave?

Your gripes are trash and you should feel stupid.

Some states already don't do it. It's not even a federal thing. "DST" costs about $4 billion in lost productivity, car accidents, and workplace injuries every year.

Anyhow, I live in a country that doesn't do it. Funny to see the rest of you guys get screwed over it though...
