I think most people would choose to keep their ability to drive, the bad thing is insurance companies will make it impossible to afford.

If there's no human involvement in driving and by extension, no human caused mistakes, why would there be a need for auto insurance?

excellent point. It would be hard to justify the need. The onus of responsibility would be on the vehicle manufacturer by way of product warranty. I see a potential for a lot of opposition to driverless cars. Meanwhile, keep the classics on the road as long as we can.

You think insurance companies are gonna let that happen? They're multi billion dollar entities, they're not gonna let their cash cow wither up and die that easy.
