Someone else cut the chord and been watching MeTv.....? {Oh didn't cut the chord, oh-well, it comes on twice a day through the week through non cable/internet/satellite TV}

It is a decent show as far as shows go, they play a couple or few decent shows, until they start playing (((Roseanne))) all damn evening.

There's a lot of good westerns on there. Branded is still my favorite.

Gunsmoke (at least the radio shows which you can download off archive.org, never saw the TV show) is also great.

I've never watched it. Is it corny and campy?

I don't think so, not like Lash LaRue or the very old John Wayne films. My fiancee introduced me to Hopalong Cassidy and I enjoy the shows. William Boyd played the character. He does what's right and never strays from the path.

The Rifleman is wholesome family fun? christopher4827323 April 2011 If anyone thinks The Rifleman is good, wholesome family fun, they need to take a human rights course. Naturally, since the show was created in the 50's, it displays typical 1950's American social values. The show is rife with misogynistic, bigoted and otherwise ignorant attitudes which are mostly (and surprisingly) expressed by Mark, the young boy in the show.

Found the soyboi in the imbd reviews.

I’d recommend Little House on the Prarie too. Lots of good themes about morality, self-reliance, and family. I’ve yet to see the Charles Ingles character act like the stereotype buffoon dad once, either.

Almost every Sat-Sun morning this is what my kids and wife watch. They love it. I have all of them DVR'd, as well. Its a good, wholesome show before the kikes shit on everything. Jews hate the nuclear/50's/old west family with a passion.

Agreed. Which is why we need to be introducing more to these shows.

(((They))) will not allow it on any of their medias. We have to start creating all of this stuff. We have to create our own channels, music, etc.

Chuck Connors as serial killer Lucas McCain racked up a tally of 115 kills in 168 half hour episodes of The Rifleman, there were somewhere around four hundred kills overall @ 2 1/2 per show, ex Mousketeer Johnny Crawford as his revolting son Mark McCain was drenched in blood as well ..

LOL. Ya, the show formulas require it. Look at Murder She Wrote. That bitch was murdering and framing people like crazy. No one dies or kills around a specific individual that much.

At least in The Rifleman, he's doing so in self defense. Which, of course, makes the comments, "serial killer", and, "revolting", disingenuous. Same with my comment on Jessica Fletcher, the character on Murder She Wrote.

TV used to be filled with morality plays. The Rifleman is one such show.

He had about as much "morality" as Ted Bundy!
