I assure you that that in my America no one is complaining that too many Americans are being hired for American jobs and If you don’t think Americans have a strong sense of national identity I can only assume your America has thus far been limited to the west or northeastern coastal states.

Can you please help me understand what you mean by “Because America is white it is too nebulous for its own good”? Honest inquiry here. Are you saying that because we’re white we are to vaguely defined to be cohesive?

I actually have spent my whole life in the Midwest. On the second point you are spot on. "White" is too broad and vague a term to carry weight. But it is ready made to be used as a detractor.

It wouldn’t be Minnesota by chance? Fucken new world Swedes are still Swedes to the end. As to our nebulousness I can only counter with, The South. The southeastern US is where the definitive core of the US identity was forged. Maybe that’s why still it’s strong here.
