Thank you for telling people about this I was just about to write the same thing. They just revoked their discount. That is all. However it was enough for my family and I to never shop at those places again.

Agreed. Its one thing to not sponsor the NRA, it’s another to abandon them during a time like this. Its highly politicized, and just leaves me feeling betrayed by those companies.

Cracker Barrel stopped selling Duck Dynasty themed shirts a couple of years ago. A guy on the show, said he didn’t approve of homosexuality due to his faith. He said it very respectfully, I watched the video.

Sales dipped and Cracker Barrel put the shirts back up for sale. Too late. I don’t even watch that show but they showed their true colors.

What about YouTube banning conservatives while I have to bake a cake for faggots?

Google received all that CIA, NSA, and DARPA money from the government to help build and expand the internet, so the 1st amendment should apply to their platforms.

What youtube does is reprehensible, but if you truly believe the Cake metaphor, you cant disagree without being intellectually dishonest.

If conservative Bakers dont have to make faggot cakes then Youtube and put whatever they want on their platform.

Patronize businesses you like and boycott other ones.
In a Capitalist Society we fight with our money.

What about YouTube banning conservatives while I have to...

...tolerate a "Trending" tab full of Liberal 'Late-Night Show' propagandists?

...tolerate a "Trending" tab promoting nothing but Jew Media?

...tolerate a "Trending" tab full of faggots?

...tolerate a "Trending" tab full of trans-faggots showing me "hot new trends in mens makeup"? (safe for kids, by the way)

So those in power can continue to destabilize our countries by encouraging things, such as homosexuality, that only bring our societies down, while taking away our rights to defend ourselves from them, such as by taking our guns away

It's an interesting legal point.

Normally, you can legally discriminate against people. You can refuse service to short people, to people with blonde hair, to anyone in a tee shirt. But we passed specific federal laws that prohibit discrimination (in most public areas of life) for reasons of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, or disability. It's illegal to discriminate because somebody is white or black, Muslim or Christian, Male or Female.

There is no federal protection for sexual orientation; however, the cake controversies happen in states that have state laws which prohibit it. The feds get involved when the bakers claim that their first amendment rights are violated when they are not allowed to discriminate, and that's why the supreme court has to hear it.

A few states do also prohibit discrimination based on political beliefs, but not many. So most people can legally discriminate against NRA members.

Common misconception, there is no federal law that generally prohibits refusal for public accommodation by age. The civil rights act of 1964 has no mention of age. It's a different act, and that only somewhat limits discrimination based on age for programs that are federally funded.

I've always wondered why the parties involved in the cake lawsuits don't take the seemingly easier route and argue discrimination based on sex. That is, argue that they were discriminated against because they were both men/women as opposed to the path they took, of arguing that they were discriminated against because they are gay/lesbian. If they just wanted a payout - and I'm sure that was the case for at least some of them - it seems a much faster, less expensive route to take.

How though? Unless you make it a point to bring it up they would never know. It's unenfoecable virtue signaling bullshit.

I think the most obvious example would be if Amazon decided to drop the NRA TV channel, and some people are demanding. Perfectly legal if they choose to do that.

If we were on reddit, I would give you a slow clap for the self-referential ironic deprecation. But this is voat, so I'm going to assume you really are that much of a fucking idiot.

Businesses can endorse whoever they want (as in, giving money).

Remember what happened to the Firefox CEO who donated to an anti gay agenda? He ended up getting fired from his job over it.

These companies are just pandering to what they feel is a majority rule. They’ll silently bounce back depending on the outcry by conservatives.

Like the politician going after deltas $40 million in state travel and directing it to another airline.
