No, it's waking the fuck up from your Orwellian programming, and tossing away the Jewish lens through which you perceived reality.

There is no greater depression cause than reality constantly being different than what you're told, or allowed to think it is.

I've always been kinda redpilled but watched media less and less over the years. Cut TV completely almost 10 years ago. Even if I try, I can't find a single movie or TV show to be interested in watching, that shit just drives me crazy. When you are no longer desensitized, it becomes apparent how worthless and trashy entertainment is.

I still allow myself to consume new cinema, but I intersperse with a lot of classics. I always feel better after watching one of the old Bond films.

In my own life I found that waking up made me even more depressed, now I don't have those comfortable lies to hold on too anymore. I would never go back to being blind, but I do miss just not caring and watching tv.

It's both. I live in a suburb because of work, but I get out of town every chance I get. Especially in the summer. I head for the mountains and go backpacking. I am completely relaxed out there but a little pissy in town.

waking up from

That's a completely useless bit of advice.

Wake up! all whingeing voaters say. No one tells you what you're waking up from. "Orwellian programming" is remarkably nonspecific. And look at all the pussies who jump right on the bandwagon. "I agree!" I agree also!" "We're so woke!"

But do you actually know what that programming is? It has very little to do with altered perceptions of reality, because perception is reality. It's about mental and neurological damage caused by intentionally destructive early childhood education. Kids aren't taught to read properly, so they become dislexic. That doesn't mean they mix up the occasional letter combination, we all do that. That means reading is physically uncomfortable for them, as in, it causes pain. Kids aren't taught basic arithmetic anymore, they are taught set theory. Set Theory is very high level math. The guy who developed it went insane. Arithmetic and Mathematics are different. Arithmetic is counting, Math is relationships. Teaching kids Math without teaching them to count properly causes them to be overwhelmed by life in general, because all these numbers, man are simply more words to them, and their weight and volume is lost. And the world ceases to have substance. And if the world has no substance, what's the point? But that's not an altered perception of reality. It's a symptom of a flawed perception of self - the complacent acceptance of "I'm not smart enough to figure all this out", and that perception started in elementary school.

"Wake the fuck up!" they all cry. And then when someone asks them "from what?", they invoke Orwell, and Heinlein, and a whole host of people who were infinitely smarter than themselves, in the hope that no one will notice they're not giving an actual answer.

Plus, you get to kill things and eat them if you'd like.

Or it can make it worse since it's considered a stressor.

I never understood why people kill themselves. I always think... just move.

The pain of merely existing outweighs the pain and fear of death. Easiest solution is death. This is especially so when you've tried many things already or are in a situation that reinforces the cause of the depression. It becomes the only way out, even if what you're escaping are your own thoughts.

Because there are reasons that doesn't seem like an option. Or that it would do any good.

you have to first realize you have to move, that it will help you, and then actually do it. lots of people dont have resources/energy to do it

Except that farmers have a high suicide rate.

Farming is a business, and it can be a tricky one. Actually growing the plants or animals is just a small part of it. When your way of life is also your business, and you go bankrupt through some financial miscalculation, where do you go from there?

ya thats crazy. so the chemicals they are putting in our food is killing them ... and everyone who eats it!

[–] EvilSeagull 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

It's not the chemicals, it's the stress of not making any money and losing your land. They also don't typically have good healthcare unless they work off the farm at a job that provides it. Farming is far from stress free is you're doing it to make a living.

Exercise and no tv is probably the best answer I have for those with the blues.

that's a lie because i know from experience.i used to live in a mostly rural/farm area for about 6-7 years and it sucked balls.there was nothing to do and it was booring.i tell you what we couldnt wait to leave from that place.there were mounts everywhere and it rained for 6 months almost non stop plus the tropical bugs and animals were a hazard to public health.

not worth it

As someone who used to be obsessed with mortality rates the question of how to control for rural vs urban environments comes up for all other mortality rate studies. It turns out rural and urban effects cancel each other out so it's not something that has to be controlled for.

Cities's higher cardiovascular mortality rate (stress) cancles rural's increased suicide rate almost exactly. The exception is for young men who's suicide rate in these areas excells above all others.

So if you are old and want to relax yes, go rural. If you are a 20 something and need to date, well I hate cities culturally but at least rule out farmville (the game too, you won't meet any women playing that).

well maybe too rural for you, move to a bigger town. in my experience, very large American cities (ie Los Angeles) are CANCER, smaller cities are nice.

this experience was way in my past bro. but you yeah you can have your cows, donkeys, mosquitoes, alligators, scorpions, venomous spiders and other quirks of farm land.sure the lifestyle can be quiet but it can be depressive as well
