Don't take it personally that nobody told you. Nobody has a list of everybody who should be notified. I've seen people get pissed at close family members because nobody told them that somebody had passed, but when the news hits people, their natural reaction isn't to start brainstorming how to propagate the news so that no one feels left out about not hearing the news. If you don't check the obituaries everyday, it's gonna happen sometimes. It sucks, but it's not intentional. Anyway, you have my condolences in this your time of grief. Life royally sucks sometimes.

Go for a memorial type ride in his memory

And then start looking for a few riding buddies for the future. Post fliers, ask the question online, however you chose - I think you’ll be surprised at how many people will be interested. Most will probably flake, but you’ll end up finding a few to join you.
Makes the world a better place, and get a few new friends out of it

Best of luck buddy

Fucking roads are more dangerous then they need to be because of assholes who can't drive or are texting and driving, every day I travel an hour away on NJ highways to tech school, it's always people tailgating at 90mph or cutting people off at 90 mph, people can't believe when I tell them I hate driving because shit like this is either going to get me killed/hurt or give me ulcers.

NJ drivers are some of the most aggressive asshole drivers I’ve ever encountered. Then there’s the NJ Asian women drivers.

My best friend's older brother (who I was also very close with) died in a car accident and killed his wife as well. I was sad, but the fucker got what he deserved. He was an insanely reckless person who had been asking for it for 10 years, ever since he got behind the wheel of a vehicle. He was a psychopath and he did fucked up shit besides constantly being reckless in his vehicles. His wife however, did not deserve it.

So sorry for your loss and you're in the right place to ask for advice. Goats are the best.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Raise a glass for him and remember the good times you had together. Chin up my friend.

I was friends with a guy in elementary, everybody wanted to be friends with him because his parents didn't give a fuck and we could run around town. I stopped being friends with him when he became a little hood rat without the hood, his parents were on pills and probably a host of other stuff and he was breaking down emotionally. He started really falling behind in school and by the time I was in highschool I would almost never see him, I'm about halfway sure he dropped out sometime around 10th or 11th grade. After highschool I started partying with a guy who was off and on relations with him. Turns out he had testicular cancer at 19 and had to have his balls removed, not to mention he was having seizures now. Fast forward a couple years and I'm driving through my old town and see a sign "In Memorial of C.J. Leoman", too bad nobody knows who he was. Shit happens.
