Here in Illinois it's a 2 stage process. You can "expunge" your record through the courts but all that does is make it "less" available to those who can do those sort of checks. To truly have something removed from your record you have to have it done through the state's attorney and even then I'm not sure if they are totally clean. It's a pretty expensive process here too.
Congrats either way, it's a pretty big deal. If I were closer I'd take you out to celebrate.

yes i had to pay my attorney file motion in court and the sheriff and state attorney had to.agree to it.
