Netflix recommends movie titles based on a rating of thumbs up or thumbs down. Based on the percentage of what types of movies you thumb up or down you're given a percentage to how likely a recommended title will match your interests.
I thumbs down a lot of comedy things that aren't funny to me.
I thumbs down shows that are offensive against white people, promote homosexuality, and promote transgender.
After about a month of doing this I had developed a pretty good base of movies that get recommended to me. I like most of them with no complaints.
Today I turn it on and suddenly the types of things I have been giving a thumbs down are suddenly front and center on my TV screen with a 100% rating of recommendation to me.
You, Me, Here, Orange is the New Black, Dear White People, Dave Chapel, Transparent, etc.
I have confirmed that no one else is using my account and changing my approval ratings of shows.
Wtf is happening here?

There was an article recently about places offering Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others for pennies. Very shady, as in 'hacked other accounts' and so on. One of the warnings for using the service is to not change the password - which is a huge red flag. Maybe they got into your account and watched some shows?
Or maybe Netflix is just agenda driven.

Fair enough.
