Taqiyya. It is a shield to deflect attention from the structural cruelty of Islam. It's a #NotMyJihad sort of bullshit.

@random101 would like to have a word with you. He's Voat's new resident islamic scholar who has very specific opinions on the meaning of the word taqqiya.

Pff honestly people make it as if "the reactionary branch of islam" is something new or particular to wahhabism, but a brief look at history shows otherwise

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbary_slave_trade#Rise_of_the_Barbary_Pirates

In 1785 when Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman, they asked him what right he had to take slaves in this way. He replied that the "right" was "founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise".[14]

....

Sounds familiar ?

...

Pirate raids for the acquisition of slaves occurred in towns and villages on the African Atlantic seaboard, as well as in Europe. Reports of Barbary raids and kidnappings of those in Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, England, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, and as far north as Iceland exist from between the 16th to the 19th centuries. It is estimated that between 1 million and 1.25 million Europeans were captured by pirates and sold as slaves in Tunis, Algiers and Tripoli during this time period. The slave trade in Europeans in other parts of the Mediterranean is not included in this estimation.[15]

The Quran teaches kindness to women. Acid attacks are the acts of monsters, not true Muslims.

Promoted (founded, essentially) by the British and eventually by the Anglo-American Empire.

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, condemned Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), insisting “the ideas of extremism, radicalism and terrorism do not belong to Islam in any way”. Somewhat paradoxically, however, members of the Saudi ruling class have applauded Wahhabism it for its Salafi piety - i.e. its adherence to the original practices of Islam - and the movement's vehement opposition to the Shia branch of Islam.

The Saudi lie is that Salafism is the original form of Islam. Original Islam split into Shia and Sunni Islam over political issues, with Shia favouring rule by the descendants of the prophet and Sunni favouring a populist approach. The Shia form is closer to the teachings of the Quran, Salafism is a Sunni school of thought.

Historically Sunni Islam is more violent that Shia Islam, with the ISIS terrorists developing from Sunni extremism. The US-Zionist alliance favours military alliances or support with Sunni Islam and opposes Iran's Shia Islam.

Found the shia.

The problem is that Sunni islam controls mecca and medina. The problem is that the saudi rulers are wahabbis.

But it's worse. All schools of islam are more or less wahabbi or salafi in thought and deed. Pointing at the modern wahhabis is worthless. Islam's violence and extremism dates back to the day of the pedo warlord profit.

But you know all this, and it's pointless telling you, since your taqiya/kitman/whatever excuse of the day will kick in and you'll lie anyway.

"War is deceit."
