I live in Marin County, CA - the very bastion of liberalism. I’ve been speaking up and acting out since Trump was in the election. Hell I walked around the 2016 Marin County fair wearing an awesome American flag Hawaiian-style shirt and a MAGA hat. I’m a big guy, so I figure not many people will mess with me. And you know what? I’ve found more people complimenting me and thanking me for speaking out than I thought would be here.

There are A LOT of us out there. Do not be afraid to speak positively of Trump. Be polite about it of course, approach it slowly in polite company. Treat it as though you’re broaching a conversation about guns with someone who may or may not be an enthusiast.

But absolutely speak out.

Sounds like a violation of campaigning at the polling station to me...

Lots of SoCal Mexicans voted for him and bastillions do exist. The problem is that Cali is full of screaming idiots ...

I never did get much further than the start of Marin County and basically stayed south of the bridge.

I did leave the Bay Area the last time with a bang! The hills were burning ... I did drive tbroigh the area the night before ... Yikes!

Northern CA - above San Francisco is FAR more conservative than people think. It's why we need to split the state.

I live in a very liberal area. Fucking everyone assumes I voted for Hillary and I hate Trump.

The thing that weirds me out is how they act when they bash Trump. They somehow think they are being edgy and cool, and deserve praise for such things, when in reality it is so retardedly mainstream to hate on Trump. I suppose the lack of self-awareness is what makes me cringe the most, but whenever they make edgy Trump jokes, I just smile and nod, and silently think to myself "We're going to need a bigger oven."

In Canada, every time Trump is mentioned in a conversation you can actually see the pain in their faces at the very mention of his name. To date I have not heard one single person make a good case against Trump. If you ask why they hate him, they just call him names. If you probe further, they will just start getting agitated and double down on the name calling.

To be fair, 2017 wasn't like they were hoping, and for damn sure 2016 wasn't even close to what they were wishing for.

The media played a big part though with all their fake statistics.

"The likelihood of HRC securing the presidency is hovering at 98%"

I laughed out loud then and I'm still laughing out loud.

I think a lot of voters liked the blindside and see no point in collaborating with the enemy. So why tell the propaganda arm of the DNC and Deep State what you think of Trump? They can all get fucked.

There is that but seriously lots of people were afraid to say who they supported IRL this past election.

Most Republicans are too busy working to answer pollsters' phone calls.

I still don't admit it in public. Too many family members with extremely strong opinions - I voted 'third party' last election and probably will again.

2018 will be the very pit of libtard hell.

2017 was just about getting all of the pins lined up correctly.

I can't wait because lots of Trump signs will be put up this time.

I was the only one on my street with a Trump sign last year. I got it at a fair at the end of August, put it right up and left it there until after the election. I'm surprised no one took it.

Everyone has been telling me Merry Christmas this year, and I've been free to do the same. The pendulum has begun to swing

I'm a manager at a hotel, and I've been encouraging my staff to say this to guests (even my Muslim staff members). Everyone has commented on good it feels to say/hear it again. Things can only get better if they keep up like this. Trump has played a big part in destroying PC culture in America.

Did some last minute shopping at a small shop. Said Merry Christmas to the girl ringing me up, she responded in kind. The shop owner heard the exchange and as I was walking out said "HAPPY HOLIDAYS". I let out a "Ha!" and walked away with a shit eating grin.

It was a herbal/tea/hippy kind of shop so no surprise there.

+it wasnt just violence. it was fear of losing their job or relationships for being thought of as a sexist racist homophobic etc....thats why the polling was skewed. and still is. popularity numbers, election numbers...they can never be believed again his true popularity is probably around 48-53% or so. because never forget, we are a divided country. and the liberal media will never report the truth. newsweek is fantastic for liberal propaganda, i honestly dont think ive ever seen a positive story about trump since he decided to run.

Being afraid to admit to being a Trump supporter really is a thing. With all of the boycotting, social ostracization, and violence from the left it makes sense to not openly admit something unless it benefits you.

Given the overwhelmingly positive results of Trump's first year as president, it is becoming more and more reasonable to openly support him regardless of your political affiliation.

Being afraid to admit to being a Trump supporter really is a thing

It could be an advantage though, pollsters keep getting it all wrong, messing with the dems electoral strategies to great effect. So long as people actually vote their mind.

That is one advantage. I haven't really thought about it like that. It's more important to me to have the right to believe and say whatever I want and to exist as such without being attacked for it.

But yes what you are saying is good. It's good to know the democrat strategy is a failing strategy.
