And the way a tyranny typically interacts with citizens is with police via indictments for crimes that are unjust. If you mean to fight back that means resisting arrest and shooting. They won't send the national guard. That would make you a hero. They'll send cops and make you look like a dick for breaking a law they've brainwashed most of the population to agree with. Hell, 3/4 of voat will be against you.
The drug war is not supported by 6/7 Americans, yet voat called a guy a dick when police enforced a law. You better believe if they imposed speech laws, the tyranny voat most fears, or communism, that anyone who fought back would be denigrated by voat.

This is what most people don't understand.
The bullet box is the last box for a reason.
Oh, they can and they will if you put up enough resistance.
SWAT, or cops that have been militarized
There are only a few successful ways to 'fix' brainwashing.
Red pills
More effective propaganda--or counter brainwashing
Organizational indoctrination and peer pressure. Put a liberal in the police force? Suddenly they are a lot less keen on drugs. Put a peacenik in the army, suddenly they are a lot more understanding of foreign policy.
Social organization with top down values--churchs promote family values because those who rely on them conform or face ostracism. Universities promote liberalism because those who rely on them conform or face ostracism, etc.
Basically all of these are non-violent variations of carrot-and-stick incentives.
Who is against you is less important than who is for you.
If getting called a dick is all it takes to demotivate you then this war stuff might not be for you.
Most people, probably all of us, are susceptible to propaganda, and the better you become at producing it the better you become at recognizing it.
