Mass production and ease of use of key tools. When I was investigating animation types for some of my works, I found that most low to mid level animation groups use flash or 3d rendering. Very little pure drawing animation is done these days.

I don't think the issue here is that they're not animating by hand anymore, but that their characters look like grotesquely misshapen tumors and the scripts are just pure leftist propaganda devoid of any other content.

Ahh, but have you had a look at any recent anime coming out of japan? For the most part, the writing there is usually good, but you can see the same animation styles. I find that they tend to mix it up a lot, but they still take shortcuts because its easier.

Maybe they think they can slide by adding in preteen dicks and vaginas to their product (Big mouth) if the figures already look like misshapen tumors, whereas Japan gets the UN on their ass about it.

They claim that computer animation is super expensive, more expensive than drawing. But why are most going to computer animation if it's more costly?

Who is they? Life like computer animation with things like live 3d modeling (sensors on a life actor), would cost a lot more. However often people forget that you can plug a draw pad into a computer and still draw, on a computer. Then you can use computer tools to animate without drawing every single frame.

Ah, that's really interesting. Thanks for that!
