@PuttItOut this site is contributing a lot of spam to voat so if you're listening and could add this to the ban list that would be great. Examples below:

Domain: cam2single.xyz

Not an archive but the best we have since the dom search is down: https://searchvoat.co/?t=&s=&u=&d=cam2single.xyz&nsfw=on

Additional domain: live-cam-sex-and-dating.weebly.com

E: Archive.is does not see tagged NSFW content - https://imgoat.com/uploads/a1158154df/51282.png

They're called spammers, and our current system is not up to the task. we currently have /v/reportspammers for dealing with that shit, but it depends on cynabuns as the main arbiter, when we really need a more decentralised trust structure of multiple people with the power/authority to janitor voat's main subs, and to de-janitor abusers.

The public logs we have here are a great step toward preventing abuse, but they're not perfect.

@Cynabuns is objective though and only submits domains for banning after they have violated voat's self-promotion ratio rules. She doesn't ban domains. Putt does.

And for any nay sayers, I am well aware of the potential for reddit style abuse this involves. I have no good solutions.

I have mixed feelings, those mods always abuse power and censor freedom speech

Are you complaining because these types of posts use up resources? I mean the subs those are posted in seem appropriate venues for the posts. I'll admit I only looked at the title and did not click on the links, though, so maybe I misunderstand where the links go.

No censorship. The users of voat should downvoat, report, and move-on. Users can block subs that provide zero content that you want to see.

They should buy ad space. It's not censorship to remove spam.

You're not wrong. I just don't like setting precedents.

I also like letting the users be the solution, rather than everything be filtered through a black box.

It does when you upvoat the submission at the same time: which I did.
