So, I grew up in a very culturally enriched city. I decided, when I was a kid, that I wanted to live in a better place. So as an adult I worked my ass off and finally am able to live in a white neighborhood.
What I don't miss: helicopters, fireworks, and sirens every night. Feeling unsafe. Locking my door at night
What I do miss: real crane asada burritos
I thought you goys were hyperbolizing the quality of White neighborhoods - you aren't at all. I feel safe, people smile and say hello when they walk by, there are kids out jogging with their parents at night.
It's not a rich neighborhood by any means, but it's a lot better than where I've been.
