I came into this story a bit fresh, so quick indisputable rundown.

Andrew Anglin posted this.

Andrew Torba Responded stating it was against their Community Guidelines, which many people (myself included) concluded was false.

Andrew Torba then later explained with a gab linking to this article .

The key claim being:

We believe the post in question was indeed obscene. It should have been marked #NSFW and it was not, therefore it is in violation of our Community Guidelines.

Although it was also clear that pressure had been brought to bare against gab by the registrar.

My understanding makes me pose these questions:

1) By Gabs own account, couldn't this all be fixed by the post being tagged as "NSFW" ?

2) Ignoring for a moment the obvious downsides of Torbas "shut it down" post, what credit does his position have?

(Even if instantly outweighed by the counter argument, there is some merit to his argument, and I'd like to study as much of it as possible)

He should have let the fucking site shut down and let the internet run insane on this Asian bullshit. But no. The shekels. If you have thousands of people on your site wanting free speech. Let that fucking website die and let the freebies run fucking rampant.

The internet will have your back. The real internet.

This is a great point. Torbin isn't pro free speech; he's a profiteer. As soon as his shekels are in jeopardy, all his "values" no longer matter. Users like @Corpsedusk still want to have his babies no matter what.

Oh, you have your own registrar? You should really let Anglin know.

It's not like they didn't just receive tons of money in donations. Pretty sure they could've hired a lawyer.

I also noticed that tidbit about Web 3.0 being decentralized. That's the move that is important. It's unfortunate that people rushed to Gab when it has the same single-point weakness that it's competitor does.

Remember how everyone was so hot shit about Title II'ing the internet? Niggers, this is what allowed Obama to transfer control of ICANN over to the U.N.

Smart move, retards.

I've never used Gab before. Can you only see replies if you have an account because I see nothing.

Yes this appears to be the case. (I have Gab, so just took a minute to check)

None the less, thankfully every link still works and you can still follow the story, you only have to 'take on trust' that Torba's post is a response to Andrew Anglin's as I have stated.

EDIT: I suppose technically the 'many people' bit would also not be verifiable without Gab, but again the story is still followable

That post is only considered obscene because people don't want it seen since it contradicts the media narrative of how the woman died.

Scary times.

Exactly...not to mention, both pics have been circulated in the media, Twatter, all over the internet but now all of a sudden, Gab needs to censor it? WTF? I haven't been on Gab in a long time and didn't even know they added the dreaded, lame NSFW button. Dumb AF

She could have a had a crushed or punctured femoral artery and that's something no one could see, that picture doesn't "disprove" anything.

It was already widely known and accepted that the car that caused the chain reaction didn't hit her directly.

The lardass in the green shirt isn't even Heather Heyer. She rolls off, plops on the ground, then walks away. Heyer was somewhere on the passenger side of the street. That's where the "medics" suddenly and immediately congregate and start CPR. The bitch could have had a fucking heart attack while standing on the sidewalk for all we know. Will we ever see an autopsy report?

how does it contradict?

[–] derram 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

The narrative is that the challenger drove into the crowd of protesters and hit her when it actually hit another car which hit her.

The truth raises questions such as "why did the group of protesters stop those cars and why were they between them afterwards?"

THE ONE THING THAT UNIFIES THEM ALL IN THE CENSORSHIP IS ICANN. THE JEWS GOT CONTROL OF ICANN. USE THIS TO GET AWAY FROM IT SO YOU CAN REGAIN YOUR FREE SPEECH

www.opennic.org

When the us handed the control of name registry away, the jews fucking bought it up. Another option to get away from it is

zeronet.io/

Exactly. The day ICANN control was given up, is the day the DNS system was doomed. This was written in 2016, when the handover took place. Spot anything familiar?

The proposed transfer of control of the IANA functions has been criticized by Republicans in Congress and some conservative groups, who are concerned that the transition will hand over control of the internet to governments, including some that have a reputation for stifling online activity.

https://www.computerworld.com/article/3108617/internet/us-says-transfer-of-internet-governance-will-go-ahead-on-oct-1.html

I propose all websites that favor free speech should move onto an open DNS platform, or start their own. That's the only way to circumvent this problem for good.

This whole issue is one giant thorn of unknown in the right wing internet world RIGHT NOW. It needs to be spammed, eloquently, completely the whole time. There must be more of us going out there and engaging these sites to the problem (technical aspect), to what has been done already (to the daily stormer and to stormfront, which kind of impossible path that they took) and to the potential solutions. I saw many sites on the internet, many discussions and these things were not discussed that often. Only on double the bestests of chan it was discussed in detail. But srsly, if you got any time to spare and any more communities who are at risk, they need to know. I suspect that TDS and stormfront were just test runs, and the big runs are yet still to come. There is little time for a unified response to this which isnt chaotic. IT NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW

Title II'ing the internet allowed Kang Nigger to transfer control of ICANN over to the Jews in the U.N.

Wasn't such a smart move, was it?

Zeronet is really the kind of direction that this all needs to head eventually.

When are you going to learn that kikes have secured their control over information by becoming the gatekeepers? ICANN is ran by kikes now that Kang Nigger gave it to the U.N.

They now not only control the DNS system, but they control all social media and also control all the free-speech startups. WHY IN THE FUCK are whites not creating their own platforms? Why are we waiting on sheenies to create the platforms for us? You've all become too complacent. We might have to hop on FIDONet because of all this - and as we know, normies won't and can't follow.

The kikes now have the ability to remove all information that goes against their narrative. You've opened yourself up to attack because you didn't pay attention to the chess pieces they were moving.

This isn't the first time Torba reacted in a poor manner.

I'm starting to think that Torba needs to leave the management of the site to someone else and to focus more on the PR side of things.

Well put, in addition to finding someone else to register the domain with if he hopes to truly stick to his cause.

Would it be possible for similar complaints to be directed towards Voat's domain provider? I'm not even sure what Voat's domain provider is.

I feel like a lot of tactics and excuses to censor speech that have been used against Daily Stormer, Stormfront, and now Gab have not been used against Voat. I think at least part of this is the reputation we have among non-goats for being so conspiratorial / racist / ignorant that no one takes us seriously. Which frankly doesn't bother me as long as we maintain freedom of speech. I do think we should pay attention to the tactics used by our foes to silence other apparently free speech or controversially oriented sites so as to better protect ourselves.

[–] KikeFree 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

Absolutely, Voat is going to be the next one:

whois voat.co
Domain Name: VOAT.CO
Domain ID: D63066075-CO
Sponsoring Registrar: NAMECHEAP, INC.

is Tucows better option?

[–] bob3333 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Yes, but voat can immunize itself by registering a domain in the OpenNic system. They have TLDs that aren't controlled by ICANN. For example http://voat.o. The only catch is that you have to be using OpenNIC DNS servers, but that's no major roadbloack.

I feel sorry for them. They said this was planned. They also know what the solution is. We have to stick with them.

[–] Thrus2 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

While I can understand siding with someone being shit on why should I stick with them? keep in mind I haven't even joined them I see no use to them, I don't need a social media platform I would rather just be social in person. Give me a reason I would need the service they are offering. Voat is as close as I come to social media, and even that I see as just a fancy forum based around articles, it mostly fills time when I don't have something else on my plate and is only propped up past a book as it have people so I can debate the story instead of just view it.
