A group of people who all believe the same thing and who use whatever forces are tolerated by their society to try and push their beliefs and behaviors on others?

In what way? Is there a law that says, "You must believe that jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior" or whatever? Or are you saying that just by talking about it is the issue? Then, if so, what about sports? Are you "pushing your beliefs" on people by talking about your favorite football team?

Maybe if you provided examples, we could better answer your query.

People make laws to enforce religious opinions all the time. For instance all the laws that prohibit drinking or prohibit it at particular times. For instance I grew up in a county where you couldn't buy any alcohol on Sunday or 2am. You don't think christians were involved in that law?

Not drinking is not a "Christian" thing. Christ MADE wine, FFS! The Blue laws you are referring to were not to impose religious beliefs, it was to attempt to get men to not be hungover their only day off or show up to services out of their gourd (Sundays) or show up drunk at work (2AM) .

BUSINESSES AND CHURCHES worked together to get these laws passed, and not for 'religious beliefs' but for improvement to productivity.

Just because Christians were involved doesn't mean it was for religious beliefs.

As with most "rules" of religions, they come from a societal need or want, or a way to control/moderate activity to benefit/promote a peaceful and orderly society.
