Some states have laws where you can run over protesters.

One way or the other, I don't see it making a lot of difference. Antifa has fucked up several times, they are still here.

In three days, something will change in the news cycle - and most of this incident will be on the back burner as everyone moves on to the next bit.

Yep. And Spencer is out there making it worse today. Which might be best in the long run. Alt-Lite/Civic Nationalism might not have to be tied to these morons if they persist in being foolish.

It's all well and good that the right has so much sway online via memes and popular figures/talking heads but that's just a means to an end: a real political movement.

You can claim not to care what these people think, but these are the very people the rally was trying to reach: the fence-sitters and moderates.

If that is true, then a rally of its type was possibly the single stupidest possible approach. This was all entirely foreseeable.

If this rally was a mistake, (I hope you are familiar with the effort they took to ensure this was done peacefully) why the fuck don't these same people just organize mass violence instead. The police are going to shut them down anyway. Contrary to popular belief violence can be effective. (Not a moral argument)

The fact is that the police turned on them, forcing them to be improvise with antifa breathing down their necks. If the police and mayor had obeyd the court. The "Ebil nazis" would have said their peace and left. This rally was shut down by the mayor and governor against a federal court ruling. A clear violation of their 1st ammendment rights. This was a small amount of chaos to what is deserved.

Are you not aware of who the mayor of Charlottesville and Gov. McAwful are? Of course they disregarded the court. They are Democrats. This was all foreseeable. I'm sorry if the organizers were naive, but that is what happened.
