Microsoft as a whole is that shitty. My step-dad use to work for them over a decade ago. It's all political bullshit, no one actually just does the fucking work.
Also microsoft is basically one of the main reasons Seattle turned to shit. It's the only reason Seattle became as massive as it did (Boeing helped but not THAT much). That kind of money helped them become arrogant which allowed PC culture to flourish; it's why, despite how bad Portland, Oregon is, the rest of Oregon isn't THAT bad. Oregon isn't rich enough and only Portland, which is a major city, is super SJW. The rest of rural Oregon is left but mostly sane left. And also why East WA, full of rural and conservative people, are not SJWs.. they don't have tech money and stupid companies Microdick ruining them.

Yeah when I was there, I really could not see the appeal of wanting to live there. The rent was 2x what i payed at the time, in the northeast. And i was living in city centre at the time, so not like i was playing it cheap. Seattle also has a severe, noticeable homeless problem, which is saying something, since I was living in one of the poorest metro cities in the Northeast, compromised of 85% black people. The food was alright, and there were some fun markets, but overall nothing I would need. When you factor cost of living vs salary of the area, I found I would make more money staying where i am making 20K less, then i would, moving to Seattle. Also I personally prefer Texas over either the Northeast and the West, but I am annoyed that there's so many Cali plates. Just seeing them makes me annoyed.

Yeah. It's funny as Seattle people think they're so fucking rich and intelligent because of their paycheck size.. but they don't understand that they spend so much fucking money just to SURVIVE that middle class people in many other states are actually better off than them... as most of them haven't taken a single toe past the PNW, they have no concept of how fucked Seattle is.
The food in Seattle isn't bad if you know where to go. But you'd also have to love Asian/Mexican food. Otherwise yeah it's just average. There's only one, MAYBE two good greek places and the German village, Leavenworth, is cool but not worth the food and it's literally just a gimmicky ''buy literal shit'' place. Seattle becomes 100% stale within 2 months.
I haven't been to Texas myself, yet. But I have a cousin who lives there and she and her husband like it. It seems like it'd be a solid place, and a strong economy, outside of the more liberal (insane) parts as PNW people started moving there. Fucking Cali..
