The first time some idiot gets executed for stealing a stick of gum you'll see massive riots. Blacks will complain that this system is a run around to black genocide. This system would not address the underlining issues with crime simply make it easier for society to live with those underlining problems. Don't get me wrong it's an interesting idea but in practice you are handing over a power to government they should not have.

Oh i totally agree! This was just a random thought one night, but one thats stuck with me. Now, youd have to get around 100 points or so before your execution, if your at 99, not only did you fail to do anything to lower your points but you sure as hell shouldnt be stealing gum. Obviously the blacks will complain since they're seemingly unable and unwilling to follow laws. Whats the underlying issue with crime? Im genuinely interested in your opinion.

Lack of social cohesion/homogeneity plus a ton of other factors. Certainly factors that come into play are income disparity (jordan peterson talks about this a good bit if you're curious), break down of the family, conflicting cultures, failing schools, shitty belief structures, corrupt government or the appearance thereof. These things to a large degree all sort of circle in on one another. It would be hard to pull them apart in a clinical sense but to me when you have a culturally homogeneous group where everyone believes they can succeed relative to those around them crime tends to go way down.

This is stupid. The people who make the laws in this country are bribe taking scum. They have no right or legal basis to make laws. They only have force and your stupid ass wants to give them this kind of power?

Goddamn you are an idiot.

IMO any legal system that cares for punishment more than for compensating the victim is not worth it.

Fuck it, throw Due Process out the window and start executing people without a fair trial /s

Due process can be worked into it. Obviously the crime will have to be investigated and someone found guilty. Thats when the points can be assigned. Maybe a middleground can be found somewhere.

This doesn't allow you to segregate dangerous elements from society. This is an underrated plus to the prison system.

Totally agree! But imagine how fast troublemakers will be weeded out of society. No more lawyers pleading down tyrones 5th auto theft and 7th drug posession.

But how does white collar crime fit into it?

Sounds pretty dystopian, given that a law is just one persons opinion backed up with a gun and a jail cell.

I understand. But to be honest, I can live with 99% of the laws currently on the books. Its the people who cant stop assaulting eachother, dealing hard drugs, theft, etc that keep getting released over and over. Theres just no real deterance for them.
