Dude, "posting a loss" is not losing money, it's how they justify not paying bonuses and royalties and shit. They got bean counters making sure they win.

They spent 144 making it and at LEAST 100 million marketing it. Nobody I've even seen claims less than that. That's 244 million total. The box office worldwide total was 230 million. They don't get all of that btw. At BEST they got 70% and again were are being giving here. More like 50-60% goes to the studio.

But anywho, 70% of 230 million = 161 million. 244 million - 161 million = 83 million dollar loss. Now hollywood has got some "creative accounting practices" Gunna be tough to chalk up 83 million to that man. And again that 83 million is being VERY conservative. It could easily be a cool 100 million.

The Question is how much did the Merch cost and how much did it make? The only saving grace for a movie like this. The Toys. I've seen no numbers on that.

dont forget something else...that 144 million being tied up for what a year at least? At 3% return something EASY to do that's another 4 mill lost if the investors had invested in incredibly low risk/low reward ways. Trust me time is also money to an investor. Not only did they lose money. But could have EASILY made millions if they just hadn't invested in that peice of shit movie.

it didnt suck because of the chicks, it was just a terrible movie top to bottom and no actors or comics could possibly have saved this turd

It sucked because they took an original with an all male cast and appropriated it as feminist bull shit. An all female sci-fi comedy could be successful but not if it is done at the expense of an existing franchise. There was no way this was going to do well regardless of the writing. The fundamental premise was poison.

I was disgusted by this movie for how they treat the manlet secretary. I don't remember Janine being hired based on their lust for her.

I don't think all female comedies can work at all.

It was also a really weird choice to have an actual gorilla play a leading roll.

Harambee was the best part of the movie

This movie is a great example of how overt virtue signaling never equates to success.

The existence of organic agriculture is proof that the above statement is false.

The organic industry is based a lot more in fearmongering than virtue. I learned this when I used to think being natural when working out also meant not taking supplements. I learned how big of a scam that was then fell down the rabbit hole into the fucked up world of organic food.

I think you might mean the Fair Trade produce.

Organic agricultural is just agriculture without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Some cucks have ruined it with certified organic, but I fail to see how avoiding literal poison is virtue signaling.

Respectfully disagree. The existence of the US organic food industry is proof that people are intellectually lazy and mostly don't use a rational, scientific approach to decision making.

Star Melissa McCarthy mocked the chorus of disapproval for the reboot, coming from a largely male segment of the audience. “Terrific fellas!” she said with sarcasm after talk show host Jimmy Kimmel brought up the online outrage. “What they don’t say when they’re typing is that one minute after they type their mum is like, ‘Get upstairs and take out the garbage! You’re 45 years old!’” she joked.

I'm sure that helped. Rather than understand why fans were upset, just call out who you think is responsible and insult them.

Yah, she was a PR disaster...The whole thing was a PR disaster. Didn't the director insult fans as well? As well as the fat black bitch?

I think the whole cast and crew were just a walking PR nightmare.

Paul Fieg, Director, was the biggest cuck ever. He said white men did not know how to be funny, whilst dressing up in a clown costume trying to be funny to some more elegant ladies. Retard just has no idea what funny is, even his desperation at irony in dressing as a clown is just sad.

No, you don't get it. It made females all over the world empowered! Even though they didn't spend money to watch it, knowing there was some half-assed retread with a whole cast pf women shoehorned into it is enough to turn them all i to CEOs!

to turn them all in to CEOs!

No, they would need some kind of statue for that!

It's not enough. Now I need them to make an all male remake on a shoestring budget that is a smashing success.

This is the only Ghostbusters remake worth watching.

If you've never seen the movie Evolution, that's the closest thing to the spirit of Ghostbusters since the original films. Ivan Reitman directed it as well. The critics didn't like it, but I just watched it again the other day and got more chuckles than the the GB reboot.

I've seen Evolution And the comedy is reminiscent to Ghostbusters. I miss these movies. It seems we mostly have reboots and remakes. Rare are the original productions that make memorable movies.

Haha, thats right, GrossBastards ate shit @ the box office. :D ...which ironically gave me more laughs, than any comedy in the last 10 years. For free. On a bunch of extremist SJW's expense. A bunch of SJW's, of whom plenty got fired as a direct result.

The last time I went to a theater was when I took my kids to see "Independence Day"...I squirmed in my seat through most of it, but when that nigger hacked into the Mothership's computer with an Apple laptop, it was too much for me to bear...I grabbed my kids and we left!

(((Hollywood))) is an open sewer...and, thanks to the spineless Christians, their mental filth is pumped directly into the minds of millions of hapless imbeciles everyday!

It was the jew that hacked into the mothership. That's pretty much near the end of the movie anyway.

HA! I guess it was...I'm not the type of person to sit around watching movies. I was dreading every moment watching that nigger-as-hero BS, my mind must have jumbled it together like that. : D
