Timeline:
1) Griffin goes for a PR stunt that, while matching the Hollywood zeitgeist, manages to fumble her skill check, and ends up missing the window of acceptability so badly she smashes herself in the face.
2) Members of the Trump household tweet about how awful this image is. Largely about having to comfort the minors, and that Griffin is sick.
3) Griffin rolls out an apology video sans makeup, which deserves an apology of its own because FUCK I'm trying to eat.
4) The apology is too little too late. The bare handful of paying opportunities she has start cutting ties because she's made herself toxic, up to and including a book tour appearance for Al Franken. That's how badly she's poisoned her brand, people. AL FRANKEN dumped her.
5) Griffin hires a lawyer to... well, let's just put it here to dissect.
"Earlier this week, Ms. Griffin released a controversial photograph of herself posing with a faux-bloody mask of Donald Trump's face. Ms. Griffin and Ms. Bloom will explain the true motivation behind the image, and respond to the bullying from the Trump family she has endured."
So they're going to roll out some rationale for posting an image where she's holding a mock up of the President's severed head. I must admit I'm intrigued to see what horseshit they roll out. There's the classic SJW "punching up" angle, the race-baiter's "starting a conversation" routine, maybe just drop a ton of pseudo-intellectual artist doublespeak and hope for the best. It'll be interesting, as most trainwrecks are.
As for addressing the "bullying" charge, I'm honestly at a loss to see any viable angle. The sum of the Trump family response has been a handful of tweets, none of which call for action. Seems like she's pissing money against the wall to me, unless they're going to roll out a baseless lawsuit on the premise that a chunk of the population will align with just about anything that's anti-Trump.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one.

Well said. I think she's just completely at a loss for how to recover from this. Let's face it, she is irrelevant and is hoping against hope to hold on to any shred of future work she might have had sans this crude and disgusting attack on Trump.
Hey Kathy, it's said you have 20 million dollars. Maybe you should spend time working on yourself instead of trying to further stretch out your lame "career".
