Does anyone want to guess when they took us off the gold reserve for good? Oh would you look at that in 1971 when the split is starting to occur.

Any thoughts about having silver over gold as a standard?
IIRC, we find more silver every year then gold (closer to population growth), and it is more affordable for the average American to own silver.
If the golden rule holds true (those with the gold make the rules) then why not use silver instead?
