First and foremost: it's FUCKING BORING. Imagine the most bored you've ever been. Really think back to that moment where there was absolutely nothing to do. Now imagine that being your way of life for the indefinite future.
No wonder the stereotype of the homeless junky exists; how many days of just waiting to die can you possibly go through before you try finding something reasonably cheap to do to pass all this time you suddenly have?
Second of all: No safe place to sleep. "But shelters!" You say. Okay. What's the most disproportionately poor demografic in the US? Niggers. Now I want you to imagine being in a room with 10-20 of them at all times. You may or may not be allowed to leave, and you almost certainly have no safe locker to put your stuff. Let's ignore EVERYTHING ELSE. Think you can close your eyes under these circumstances? Yeah, of course not.
Last but not least: The treatment. No matter how horrid- no matter how grueling- no matter how humiliating anything anyone does for or gives you is, there's always at least this implicit attitude that you should be grateful for literally anything you get at all. Shoved in a room full of niggers to "sleep"? Better thank your lucky stars you picky piece of shit. Literally can't stomach aome piece of food for any reason other than allergies? Why can't you just be happy anyone even bothered? Your shit's thrown on the floor because staff didn't like how you had your alleged bed? Well you signed up for this when you decided to look past the nigger infestation and sleep here anyways.
Honorable mentions go to the absolute lack of privacy. Really, pretty much everything you do is in public. You can either skip out on things like drinking and masturbation to try being " civilized" or you can crack and get arrested for doing things without really being able to leave the public eye.
