In my opinion, a small business owner should have the choice to refuse service to anyone they choose. This goes for a Christian bakery asked to make a same-sex wedding cake, a Jewish bakery asked to make a Nazi cake, or a bar serving someone in a Trump hat.

A large company or a company involved in healthcare, like a pharmacy should have to serve all equally. Meaning a Walmart would have to make a Nazi cake and a pharmacy would have to fill prescriptions for pregnancy termination drugs, regardless of their religious views.

This might not be a perfect solution but I think it's the fairest.

Franchises would have to bend over, but not sole proprietorship?

I can dig it.

You can also get in trouble for refusing to serve Christians.

So get a black guy to wear a maga hat walk into a bar, and then sue them for refusing service. Sounds like a good way to get back at the anti-trump retards, and make a bunch of money

Implying the left would have the balls to refuse service to a black man

Nope, that would lose because the hat would be a clear reason to point for refusing to serve unless you could prove they served white patrons in MAGA hats.

This line of thought is why business owners will use dress code or other restrictions that are typically associated with who they want to keep out, without specifically singling them out.

Oh good, so now we're all cool with people on the right doing what we got pissed at the left for doing to those bakers? Glad to see there are no double standards...

No, of course not. But we're even more pissed about bullshit double standards. We don't like the law, but if we have it, enforce it for everyone.

Nah, I'll still fight to put it in the trash can, period.

It's called holding the left to their own standards, if they get to sue for not being served than we do too.

Demanding that leftists be able to sue but conservative not be able to is the real double standard

Two wrongs don't make a right and copycatting just legitimizes the behavior. It's stupid policy on both sides and we shouldn't give the illusion that it's ok.

He didn't have to sue. He just had to tell everyone and the place would have watched its business tank. Going to an establishment that petty risks spit in your food anyway.

this is an outrage and reminds me of exactly what happened to me last week. I was on vacation in liberal San Francisco and when I went into a bar they absolutely refused to serve me, it wasn't until later I realized it was because my pasties were one of trump and one of pence. Liberal hypocrisy.

Pasties from Cornwall, England are great. Just don't understand what you are taking your baked goods to a bar? I would have kick you out too! lol.

How about going to a bar that doesn't hate you? Why force people who hate you to associate with you or do business with you? It's bizarre to me. Why would I want to be somewhere that I'm not wanted?
