Not to be THAT guy; but shouldn't that post be removed and the individual investigated for demostic terrorism, conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a murder, etc., am I missing one? I mean, this is hard evidence right?

Hopefully it's the Feds fishing for extremists, the worrying part is all the upvotes

I wouldn't be worried about upvotes on Reddit, that essentially means nothing these days because you can't see the number of downvotes which instead of tackling vote manipulation just pretends it does not exist.

That comment could have 10 thousand downvotes and 10 thousand and 17 upvotes but you'd never know, the only people who might know are admins and power mods but you the reader don't know if it was forced up by manipulation or if there is a bunch of people pushing back against this inside the subreddit the comment was made in.

That's right. It's not an immediate call to violence, like with a specific target or targets being directly marked. Overall, it's a big generalized proposition, so, yes, it's protected by the first.

That being said, if they want communism, move to a communist country! And then they shut up because they don't actually want that. They're either useful idiots or cultural-climbing marxists.

Depending on interpretation it could also be a call to incite violence, and I'm not sure if that falls under free speech or not

Touchè, but you aren't going around saying we SHOULD do it and where to find "them". "Them" is so much more deliciously tongue-in-cheek.
