It's because C-SPAN, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't time stamp anything and there's a shit-ton of YT channels that just repost other people's shit... So you end up - like with that Gowdy one earlier - with a non-timestamped video that was posted 03/13/17 to YT. If you've never seen it before, one simply sees the post date and goes "Huh, new! I think I'll share this!"

Happens all the time.

So you are making the bold claim of... fake news?

Lazy news. It's real, it's just old.

...that sounds like a tagline. We should do a podcast.

Troof, this could be a phenomenon larger than the little bit I noticed. Have an upvoat.

I'm glad somebody finally said something. It was bothering me a lot, but I didn't want to be the guy to complain about reposts.

The ones I've been seeing weren't new users maybe they've got downvoated quickly. I've actually posted new stuff and got little SCP then I see almost the same post hours later massive upvoted to frontpage. I honestly I'm starting to feel like someone/group is kinda of manipulating voat for something.

I feel you but it could be as simple as your post not being seen and someone takes advantage of that or was thinking the same thing you were. Sometimes you get lucky when you post and sometimes you're unlucky. It has to do with timing, and that timing can vary wildly.

OP I've been noticing the reposting too but it's meh, I still usually enjoy the content but avoid voting on it.

It's political theater for the Right. They get to see these seemingly well-intentioned and intelligent Congressman appearing to be angry and fighting corruption. And who knows, maybe that is their actual motivation.

But it's political theater nonetheless, because chewing out some bureaucrats over wasting a few thousand/million dollars, or yelling at some judges for ignoring the Constitution and usurping the rule of law - it amounts to nothing.

Maybe Chaffetz and Gowdy are the real McCoys, but unless or until we replace the other 531 or so members of Congress and the Senate with non-criminals, toss out the crooked Judiciary, eviscerate the bloated and corrupt bureaucracy under the Executive branch, and do some pretty significant Constitutional amending, it's ALL political theater.

Sure it's fun to watch, but at the end of the day it's as meaningful as the latest Hollywood garbage flick.

There are people who still don't know how great these guys are, and it's important to spread the word. I saw him back when he was a solicitor on an episode of 'Solved' and thought it was adorable. He was just as earnest then as he is now. A-dorable.

Now that the election is done I see a lot of the same info posted all over voat and r/the_donald and r/conspiracy and shit like that.

People have a thirst for new happenings and want the ball to be moving forward but most of what we get is just rehashing the same drama.
