I would think now if they make fun of Trump too much at the event, it will come across negatively for them, and seem like they're bashing Trump needlessly. I have no doubt that jokes about him not attending the event will be in fashion, as they are the only jokes they'll be able to get away with, without it seeming like bashing. It's one thing to joke/tease someone who is in your presence, it's another to say the same things when that person is absent. Should be interesting.
