If Kuwait could be considered connected at all, it certain isn't the beginning.

Also, I don't give a shit about Kuwait or the people that live there.

Well in the 90's Iraq invaded Kuwait. This was of great concern to all the countries in the region because, only a couple years before they used chemical weapons on Iran killing up to 100k people and then a couple years after that they used chemical weapons again this time on fellow Iraqi's. At the time of this Iraq was the 4th or 5th most powerful army and air force in the world.

So all of the countries in the region Saudi Arabia, Jordon, UAE, etc. begged us to help. We were worried that they would attack Israel with chemical weapons and that Israel would Nuke them and start nuclear world war 3. If you're old enough you may even remember Iraq firing scud missiles at Israel and them being intercepted by then untested patriot missiles.

So anyways with all the begging and risk of a world ending war, we were forced to get involved. We unleashed a devastating air war vs Iraq destroying almost all of their aircraft and tanks. Iraq tried everything even igniting all of its own oil wells in an attempt to block out the sky with black smoke so our jets couldn't attack his forces anymore(it failed). After a few days of bombardment and with the help of ground forces we were able to rout them out of Kuwait.

George Bush sr. called the marines off and he cut off the ground war because he didn't want any US soldiers dying in Iraqi chemical war. After that the UN stepped in and started dismantling Iraqi chemical weapons programs and set to work on putting out the massive oil fires all over the country. During this time Bill Clinton was elected, he continued to do small scale air strikes through out the region but, ended up starting another war that took our attention away from Iraq and dismantling the chemical weapons programs.

At this point Iraq hates us because instead of killing Kuwaiti's and what not Saddam turned his wrath on his own people. Brutalizing them in ways you hadn't seen since the dark ages. Melting with acid, sawing in half from balls to brains, hangings, shootings, whatever. Then 9/11 happened.

Some how we blame a guy heading a terrorist group in Afghanistan and we invade Afghanistan. Surprise surprise all the people in Iraq that fucking hate us for blowing up there country and then letting their dictator brutalize them. They now want to help out that group in Afghanistan that was killing Americans.

In war you just can't let an enemy get resupplied so into a ground war in Iraq we go..

Hopefully you can connect the dots from there.

Concern to the nations in the region, not to the world. A petty little war in among nobodies.

At the time of this Iraq was the 4th or 5th most powerful army and air force in the world.

4th or 5th largest by size, not power. I can't believe you just wrote the sentence with a straight face.

So all of the countries in the region Saudi Arabia, Jordon, UAE, etc. begged us to help. We were worried that they would attack Israel with chemical weapons and that Israel would Nuke them and start nuclear world war 3.

What? Did you just pull that out of your ass?

Also, Israel nuking Iraq wouldn't have begun ww3. What alliance networks could have drawn the world into conflict over Iraw and Israel? None.

At this point Iraq hates us because instead of killing Kuwaiti's and what not Saddam turned his wrath on his own people.

His atrocities did not increase or decrease as a result of the war in Kuwait, he ruled as he always had. Also "turned his wrath on his own people" Saddam Hussein wasn't a poorly written antagonist from a fantasy novel.

Brutalizing them in ways you hadn't seen since the dark ages. Melting with acid, sawing in half from balls to brains, hangings, shootings, whatever.

No, such things have been done since long before the dark ages to this day. Saddam was not even that remarkable in scope or brutality of his tortures, just standard fair for the region.

In war you just can't let an enemy get resupplied so into a ground war in Iraq we go..

You actually believe we attacked Iraq to cut off resupply to Afghani rebels?

They were and are being supplied by the entire region, but at that time, very minimally by Iraq specifically due to Saddam's dictatorship.

Even if 100% rooted in fact, this situation you've dreamed up still provides no reason or justification for the US invasion of Iraq.

We invaded Iraq for the same reason we spent decades in Vietnam, money.
