Ever since "You're racist!" became an acceptable counterpoint.

Blame Emma Lazarus.

She wrote a poem called "The New Colossus", about Lady Liberty

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Oddly the poem does not mention that we should allow in those who's stated goals are our subjugation and destruction.

Written in 1883. The immigration act of 1882: "One of the long-lasting legacies of this act is the undesirable category called “likely to become a public charge.” At the time, this status could be assigned to any number of people including pregnant or single women, the disabled, the sick, or the poor."

They only wanted certain desirable European immigrants in large numbers. This likely had to do with modernization and an attempt to move from Chinese forced labor to factory systems that anyone could be inducted into. The kind of wage slavery we have today comes from that enduring legacy, and it doesn't really discriminate. The US is only a nation of immigrants in the sense that we wanted successive waves of ethnic groups to serve as cheap labor. Now, we have machinery, automation, robotics, and offshoring so another move will be made.

The Naturalization Act of 1790 was Americas first immigration law. It limited immigration to free White men of good character. We should bring it back.

It started in 1965 with Ted Kennedy's immigration plan and has snowballed to the present.

7 billion people moving to America to get welfare doesn't seem like a bad idea at all to those people. They aren't just stupid, they also have some kind of serious personality disorder.

It's not, neither is most of the shit the degenerate masses seem to want to demand these days. These motherfuckers have been brainwashed by Communist Kikes, and even if they don't embrace the full agenda, hey as long as they can kill babies, and make everyone officially accept prostitution........................................ Bunch of cuck faggots.

It's never been acceptable. It's unamerican and always has been. You show me someone who thinks it's acceptable and I'll show you someone who hates America.

You show me someone who thinks it's acceptable and I'll show you someone who hates America.

Some are just plain out ignorant and/or stupid, though.

It hasn't and never was. They talk about "give me your hungry and your weak" or whatever, but there have been plenty of times throughout history where America banned all immigration.

That's not even the big issue though. Here's something I can't understand or why nobody ever brings up or points out. These fuckers who scream at the top of their lungs claiming that America was always pro immigration (even illegal), pro refugee, pro this, pro that, also turn around, pull a 180 and bitch. They bitch about how America is totalitarian and how we're a warmongering nation who has always been at war. That we're intolerant of others and the most racist country on the planet. That we love slavery and mistreating minorities. That we are genocidal maniacs that wiped out the natives.

Tell me, how the fuck can these people be thought of as aware, or thinking when they hold both those opinions at once.
