I have fiber internet in a small town in the midwest.
Its very nice. It was not paid for with municipal funds, but a local telephone cooperative came in to compete with AT&T and Cox.
Imagine that, I have 3 internet options, and one is full on gigabit fiber (I actually max out at 938 mbs)
Employers arent coming in to hire people, they are sending factories to Mexico and bringing in Hispanics from a local sanctuary city.
