I bought myself two homes after the 07 crash that I rent for profit while I travel the world. Plus some seasonal work which includes room and board.

All I got from my parents was a swift kick in the ass out the door at 16.

And you don't pay any utilities at those 2 homes?

He probably only pays his mortgage & taxes from the rent money, plus profit to sustain his way of life.

So basically renting from him is a bad financial call if you want to get ahead in life. For what you pay monthly, you could pay a mortgage & bills AND have money left over.

It's the difference between being a landlord & a tennant.
