Why? I like the idea of monetizing contributions when people are submitting quality content. I'm not spamming shit. Just a few posts relevant to the subreddit.
IT IS a natural submission pattern from an image upload website. I'm sure Imgur is not considered a spam website just because it is used frequently to upload images that are posted here. I don't want to discuss this any further as I've stopped contributing content as such and so I'm in no way defending that in particular. But I still believe that monetised content that aims to hit front-page is not a bad idea as it upholds some quality to be up there. It's in no way aiming to spit out hundreds of meaningless posts that are downvoted just to gain clicks, but aiming to capitalise on the subreddit's interests by having successful monetized contributions. My posts were directed at funny and I feel they made many people laugh. If I'm rewarded some bitcoins for it, I'm encouraged to do it more, due to the greedy, capitalist nature within me, and so I look at it as an incentive even if the pay is shitty. That being said, I will still contribute without reward but it will be naturally less frequent. But I respect this community and will not want to anger it or harm it in any way, and so I've agreed not to do this anymore.

One person doing it is fine, but then when a bunch of people catch wind that they can do it then we will have spammers. Slippery slope my friend.
