See, that doesn't seem odd to me. It's specifically the tone and angle they used to present this product that got to me – a product for a society of people who've steadily regressed to the point where they equate companionship to whatever this product does. This product isn't marketed as something that helps you become more productive or for self-organization, it's marketed as a replacement for human interaction, which in turn exposes they very sad and low standards that these people must have for what constitutes as human interaction in the first place.
