This is how you know that immigration is more about growing a political power base than a humanitarian effort.

What this video doesn't address, is that western countries (the US, UK, EU, Australia, NZ, etc.) have a corporate and political infrastructure designed to keep all these people in poverty. Mexico would be a wonderful place to live in the CIA didn't use them to funnel drugs and the State department didn't funnel guns and money into their originated criminal elements.

All of these great people he goes on about that should try to help their own countries; the ones who become heads of state with the hope of changing things often die in plane crashes. It's because they are genuine and oppose American interested.

America and the western top 1% are brutal, ruthless psychopaths. The CIA is a mafia that starts wars so the war industry can profit by making more predator drones.

This guy completes misses what the real source of the problem is.

Mate, what you said -- every word of it -- is truth... that none will hear nor understand.

America dominates its allies by weeding out those that even think about change to said structure. What the whole world needs to desperately do is weed out American influences such as that from their countries.

None of this is directed at the American people, but solely at the American elite as well as their government, because lets face it -- they are keeping the rest of the world's nations to be "great again".

Roy Beck just destroyed the entire DNC stance on immigration in 6 minutes. Impressive.

this is why we should actually try to push black people back to africa, I want it for purely racist reasons but a surge of america educated blacks moving in would be the best thing for africa and would improve the world economy

Some tried that. From what I read, they seemed rather educated and energetic, and provided what they needed to succeed. But Africa overwhelmed them. Liberia isn't particularly safe today.

lol...they hardly gave liberia the tools to succeed. Not to mention colonists from america were never even the majority of the population of liberia.

If you want to pretend the U.S. gave Liberia as much money and support as Isreal for example. I've got oceanfront property to sell you in Kansas.

You can take a nigger out of Africa, but you can't take Africa out of a nigger.

I think that's a bad idea. People who live in America have become Americans. You'd be pushing Americans to Africa. While that might be good for Africa, no American deserves to be pushed into a poorer country IMO

I've NEVER heard the argument that it directly is an attempt to fight world poverty. He's arguing against a position that nobody takes...

Did you watch beyond his opening statement? I had the same thought, but he widens the scope and quotes certain bodies' position and their push to expand immigration. Even if framed as a purely humanitarian argument he shows that it doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

I'm watching it, and the only bodies he talks about are "some people" and "the elites". I've never heard this argument before either.

I watched until the point where he started adding a second batch of gumballs to represent the people living in countries with a lower average wage than mexico.

The politicians might not, but plenty of hyper-emotional people that vote along immigration policies would be less likely to do so if they understood it actually worsens the problem for everyone involved.

Either way its an excellent illustration of how little the US actually cares about humanitarian aid, and how futile the elimination of something like world hunger is. If an ecosystem has enough food, animals reproduce until there is not enough food to reproduce. This is especially true for any apex predator.

Agreed. I saw this some months back. Some things just need to keep getting reposted now and again to keep things in perspective.
