While I feel the image is a joke due to it's poor writing, I know for a fact that videos have been getting demonetized in similar situations to this. All I can see moving forward is the death of youtube.

Edit: Can confirm, the image was a joke, but my comment just above this line still stands.

YouTube has tried multiple times throughout it's history to make the site "family-friendly", and has failed every time. It will fail again, especially since they want it to be advertiser-friendly - as we've all experienced what THAT'S like. Google is jumping in on the SJW thing rather late - PC is slowly dying, like it did the last 2 times it came around...

This doesn't even make sense form a business perspective....hollywood does well with family movies but that doesn't stop them from cranking out profitable R-rated horror or action movies, either. If you're struggling to bring in revenue, you maximize all potential sources, you don't turn away half your consumer base just to cater to the other half.

They are not changing the content on the site, they are just no longer paying their content providers.

The last two times? When did political correctness occur previously in history? I thought this present day state was a unique perfect storm of conditions for it to proliferate? Genuinely interested.

"Hey guys, youtube is shit because it sends out notices like this one.
No, wait, that image is a hoax... but youtube is shit!"

There's plenty of legitimate reasons why youtube sucks, and you don't have to make up more of them, you cock-gobbling, cum-guzzling phony.

To be fair, youtube did updates it's policies to include a clause about de-monetizing any content that wasn't advertiser friendly, this includes content that is considered "controversial."

Check out the full policy here

This image in question is a hoax, the overall policy change isn't and videos similar to this have already felt the wrath.

They are doing it on purpose, youtube is the main platform for this anti-narrative we are all able to consume.

It's literally working against them.

I guess YT is going Reddit. Curated content only I suppose.

Just heard that a whole bunch of content creators on YT are planning to move to Minds.com. Looks promising, hope it takes off.

Conspiracy theory: Are they still going to show the ads, and use this as an excuse as to why they won't pay someone?

So basically all major sources of information online have now been compromised.
- Reddit
- Facebook
- Twitter
- YouTube

Pretty much the same way they've compromised the mainstream media they're well on their way to doing the same online.
All the while blocking links to alternative sites such as Voat while screaming right-wing, racist, conspiracy nuts.
Freedom is dead, and it was as simple as brainwashing the uninformed apathetic masses.

Don't forget. All radio, strange how no matter where you go in the country every station seems to be exactly the same, oh right they are all owned by the same company. And don't forget google(I guess you could count that as YouTube.)

this is great, a banner ad for downy wrinkle releaser right there while nigganigganigganigganigganigganigga plays.

it's easy enough to get these taken down tho, just get a bunch of people to report the video as offensive.

I doubt it, record companies make a lot of money off it no way google would shoot themselves in the foot and piss off one of their biggest content providers. This is only to attack the Hillary's health people and those that don't tow the party line.

Subtle behavior modification. Gradually over time to get the desired result.

Not that I pay any attention to what youtube is doing, but what is youtube doing?

[–] Codewow [S] 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

YouTube is changing their monetization policy. Basically, if your video is even remotely "controversial", they will disable monetization on the video.

That sounds like a poor business decision? I would think the more controversial, more people will watch it?
