Not that it could be enforced, but there should be a rule where the comment thread participants can't participate in the judgment or make their case. The judgment can only be rendered from the comment thread that was linked in the court post. I realize it would be near impossible to make it work, but at least it could be mildly interesting and there's no requirement to participate.

I think it's a good idea; in the sense that objective conversation and addressing points vis a vis dosen't happen as much as I'd like.

But I don't see how it would not end up attracting and consisting of the most butthurt, missed the point and want to be declared winner on a technically bad use of a metaphor or whatever kinda people.

Maybe only for subs that are supposed to have grown-up discussion, like politics or something?
