It's the same for me with Bill Maher. The shilling is just too blatant, and respect is being lost every show. They have to know who Hillary is by this point, but a word about the documentary Clinton Cash is nowhere to be heard out of them.

Not wanting Donald Trump getting elected is valid, fine. Not being intellectually honest is not.

A lot of them can get by without lying.

The problem, as always has been with the media, is what they left out.

In the internet age, a lie is easily uncovered. Finding stuff you were not supposed to know or finding "reputable" sources covering it, THAT'S difficult.

I watched a Bill Maher show a couple of months back out of simple curiosity. It was a panel decision show with some audience participation regarding conspiracy theories. Sorry to say but I felt it was overly scripted and that they were washing over the juicy questions if they came up and spending to much time debating things that would lead no were or just outright casting them in the debunked basket. I don't regret watching it but I probably wouldn't watch it again.

All the best dolphonebubleine mate,

peace...

Bill Maher is a tool. He claims to be atheist but advocates for a nation to be flooded by Jews because a book says a giant ghost promised it to them.

Bill Maher -- you are correct.

John Oliver -- nope.

You could argue that Gondelman (one of his writers who did the Drumpf piece) is a MOT, but Oliver is a miss.

Has anyone else noticed that Bill always seems to have thevsame audience? The same screams always lead the applause. One person always screams "I love you Bill" right at the start of the show and the same WOOP is heard every time he makes a "point"

Colbert too. That whole crew had something weird happen. They used to poke fun at everyone, now they're some kind of left wing propaganda machine.

I think someone just realised how many people watched TDS and CR and bought enough of the staff to get thier message installed.

When were they ever NOT left-wing propagandists?

[–] great_regret 1 points 6 points (+7|-1) ago

When did any of them ever give the same shit to Obama they did Bush?

Where is Colbert's impassionate speech about bombing little mudshit children with drones and mocking Obama for it?

Truth of the matter is that they always were cowardly partisan hacks.

I had to turn it off the first time I saw it due to the nerdy host's obnoxious edgy smart-ass college student act. Him, Colbert, Stewart, all target naive young people with arrogant comedic propaganda because young people mistake arrogance/funny for knowledge/wisdom.

You nailed it. Oliver doesn't know shit. He's a pampered, sheltered twat who really ought to spend a week or two in the hood living and working before acting like the Democratic party is the end-all and be-all of political parties.

From an American perspective, Australia has its own share of political stigmas. This race is entertaining for us, too. But for us, there is also a very palpable high-stakes tension behind it. If Hilldawg gets in, our armed populace is going to be castrated the same way the Aussie public was. Borders will be opened wider than they are already. And the Zionists will be one step closer to absolute control.

John Oliver is a sellout cunt. Has been for a while.

What bothers me most is the sheer arrogance. He (among many others) acts so profound and anything opposing his views are viewed as idiotic and insane. All he has does is contribute to the dumbing down of Americans. If you don't agree, you are ridiculed and mocked. Intellectual conversations no longer exists, just snide commentary.

Yes well, in retrospect it becomes quite clear. I just enjoyed his energy and almost flawless delivery, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Thank you Sir,

Hate to break it to you, but the mainstream media is 99.99% manipulative shit. The rest is South Park and an occasional movie.

The rest is South Park

South Park is basically this but in TV show form. Don't confuse "Both sides are stupid and we're better than them because we know it" with something high minded.

every single movie has a political agenda

both are manipulative

Agreed. I saw the DNC segment on the show's YouTube channel and was absolutely disgusted by the lies of omission. I'm not sure how much I'll be watching his show in the future.

I used to love all these guys, but now I feel the same rage at their misrepresentation of the truth as I did when the Bush/Cheney war on language was in full swing.

They went from heroes to villains for me. And now Stewart is coming back with this animated version of a late night news pundit show, and all I expect is more of the same bullshit.

Saw this a week or so ago, and it really shows how the Daily Show et al are operating these days, and the sense of self righteousness and shamelessness their producers have in manipulating information as a form of activism. Total cult-like behavior. The guy who stands in front of the camera is exactly like that Scientologist woman in the Louis Theroux documentary trailer who bullshits him about the road being private (see here if not familiar).

They're shilling for Bush v2

The only difference in policy between Bush and Hillary is one is coming from the mouth of a woman
