Exercise is useless when it comes to weight loss. I agree. And if you don't, read the relevant literature.

Anaerobic exercises, which literally destroy your body can help you lose weight; however, that effect is only as effective as the diet you stick to.
Yes, exercise itself is useless, because a majority of your results come from the diet.
But straight up saying that exercise is useless is disregarding the results that come from actual routines.
A person who eats like shit can maintain a body standard through intensive exercises; however, a person who eats like shit that does nothing, will result as shit.

Right. Like HIIT training. The average person doesn't do interval training, however. Only advanced athletes do that.
I know. I am a personal trainer.
Ummm...
A person can eat like shit and if he's below his weekly kcal maintenance he will lose weight. I won't even mention nutrient deficiencies.
A person can eat garbage, well under his kcal limit, and be under weight. Now, he'd be skinny fat, which still leads to metabolic syndrome and the like.
People say oy gevalt I need to get to the gym to lose weight!
No. Fucking no.
The gym is for maintenance of muscle mass while on a diet. Pounds in the kitchen, less than ounces in the gym.
