Indeed, and where they to live a 100 or more, would the dad be running around with the kid playing when he's 90 and the kid around 10? They say there's no brothers or step-brothers to help/take over.

What's this? Condemning a child to take care of his elderly parents who will die before he's an adult and then he's on his own? In the modern world? Because the parents want to fill a void in their life and a dog or charity doesn't cut it? That's cruel.

And the doctor who apparently is specializing in these cases?

It seems like they should get rid of this law maybe though:

In Indian law they don’t allow adoption after 45 years of age.

That doctor.... Who specializes in geriatric ivf?? It seems criminal. I guess at least this couple didn't have set of twins or triplets. But I feel old some days, and I had my youngest at 34. He makes me tired. I can't imagine being even older. There is no way they can keep up with an active kid.

The adoption thing. Yeah, they might want to revaluate that law. Adoption at 50 seems like a better choice than having a baby at 70... When you've already lived past the life expectancy for your area.

BUT there's this: "After trying unsuccessfully to conceive, they adopted a boy in the 1980s, but he went to study in the US and never returned." This couple did adopt. What's up with that??

My dad had me in his late 40s. Late 40s though, like 48; not 79. And my ma was some 11 years younger.

I know right?

One, how come they are not over the raising a child thing?

Two, how come the child doesn't love them?

Although, without more info it's all speculation, so there's no point really.
