Gathering technical information doesn't really explain why they need to declare themselves the owners of all their user's content. They kind of handwave over that bit.

"Technical information" is the most boilerplate line digital companies use when it comes to data collection. It's always "Technical information" and " not personally identifiable" even though it includes lots of very unique information about you that makes it very easy to build a digital fingerprint of your machine.
Your fucking screen resolution can be used to track you, even "Technical information" should be always under your control.
